Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation Seminar

This three and a half day seminar provides attendees with a complete review of Ultrasound Physics principles. Concepts covered includes a brief review of math principles related to ultrasound and then discussions revolving around waves, attenuation, pulsed wave operation, transducers, system operation, Doppler, artifacts, bioeffects, contrast and harmonics, quality assurance, and hemodynamics. The material is delivered in a way that makes the content interesting and related to what ultrasound professionals do on a day-to-day basis. In addition to ultrasound physics principles, the seminar includes an interactive session on test taking strategies.

Offered at all Seminars

What Others Are Saying
“As a physician, this is the best lecture I have attended in over 7 years of learning.  I would recommend it in a heartbeat for all physicians.  I finally understood concepts that I couldn’t understand even in college at Berkeley physics class. Thanks Frank for making it so simple and clear.

“If you want to understand physics, this is the place to be.”

I passed my ultrasound physics exam on the first try because of Frank’s lecture.  I shudder at what I thought I knew before I went into this seminar.  If you want to pass, take the class!

I just wanted to let you all know that since March, I have passed my Vascular Tech exam, and this past Friday I also passed my Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation Exam.  I have to say that the lecture that I attended last October made all the difference.  It truly prepared me for all of these exams.  I just wanted to send a note to say thank you for making these tests conquerable.

Over the years I learned the latest updates either by attending weekend seminars or by the application specialists who were installing our new equipment.  Your program helps you understand from the basics and provides a great foundation for all the rest of the information needed to understand – not memorize, so when it comes time to take the exam, no matter how the questions are asked, you really can answer the questions correctly. I think your program should be implemented in all of the current ultrasound programs as it helps immensely to have a better understanding therefore providing the tools necessary to become a better sonographer.

Frank is the best physics instructor in the business.  He has a well-rounded, easy-to-understand approach and brilliantly connects what we do in the scanning world to physics.  Never do physics with anyone else!!
