{"id":1211,"date":"2015-08-13T17:08:43","date_gmt":"2015-08-13T22:08:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/test.pegasuslectures.com\/blog\/?p=1211"},"modified":"2015-08-24T12:57:50","modified_gmt":"2015-08-24T17:57:50","slug":"advances-in-phlebology-elearning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pegasuslectures.com\/blog\/index.php\/2015\/08\/13\/advances-in-phlebology-elearning\/","title":{"rendered":"Advances in Phlebology eLearning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pubs.royle.com\/publication\/?i=266392\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-1256\" src=\"http:\/\/test.pegasuslectures.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/vein.png\" alt=\"vein\" width=\"238\" height=\"305\" \/><\/a>It was our privilege to contribute an article for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.veindirectory.org\/magazine\/\">Vein Magazine<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.veindirectory.org\/magazine\/issues\/volume-8-issue-3-2015\">v. 8\u00a0 iss. 3<\/a>) for publication this past month.\u00a0 The profile featured a background story behind the development of our newest e-Course: <a href=\"https:\/\/pegasuslectures.com\/fundamentals_of_phlebology.php\">Fundamentals of Phlebology [in Ultrasound]: Phase 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"http:\/\/www.veindirectory.org\/magazine\/article\/industry-spotlight\/advances-in-phlebology-elearning\">the article<\/a> goes into greater depth, <a href=\"https:\/\/test.pegasuslectures.com\/blog\/2014\/12\/17\/online-versus-class-based-review-learning\/\">our conceptual ideals<\/a> in designing these courses mirrors a belief articulated by the late <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikiquote.org\/wiki\/Steve_Jobs\">Steve Jobs<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cYou\u2019ve got to start with the customer experience and work back toward the technology, not the other way around.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With that goal in mind, we gathered many of the finest mentors and masters in the field of phlebology and ultrasound to build a course of study that would resonate with the study-level trainee AND the most experienced fellow or instructor.<\/p>\n<p>Our format is based on these five elements:<\/p>\n<p><strong>ScanLabs<\/strong> &#8211; a unique method of showing completely synchronous videos of ultrasound scanning with the actual ultrasound imaging.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interactive CheckPoint Questions<\/strong> &#8211; an immediate feedback of conceptual comprehension, emphasizing specific concepts while keeping the viewer engaged.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Demonstrations<\/strong> \u2013 respecting the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Iterative Teaching Approach with Customized Review<\/strong> &#8211; \u00a0which factors in that lasting learning requires an iterative approach built on strong foundational concepts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Modular Delivery<\/strong> \u2013 understanding that real world obligations and family commitments limit our time, through modular delivery, the participant is able to view according to his or her busy schedule.<\/p>\n<p>The product of our long hours of commitment is <a href=\"https:\/\/pegasuslectures.com\/fundamentals_of_phlebology.php\">Phase 1 of Pegasus Lectures\u2019 Fundamentals of Phlebology eCourse<\/a>.
