The second module of the Cardiac Hemodynamic series, Diastolic Filling, is designed to demystify the process of assessing diastolic filling patterns. Technical tips and system optimization are integrated throughout the module. Examples of various age and pathology related diastolic filling patterns are presented. Grading criteria is identified with consideration for transition between Grade I – IV categories. Cases are presented with LV inflow and pulmonary venous flow spectral tracings.
